Drum brakes are a critical safety component. Around 80 per cent of a car’s total brake force is transmitted to the road by the front axle, but in critical brake situations, the rear axle contributes significantly to ensuring the optimum brake performance.

The TRW brake shoe manufacturing process is fully within TRW's control, from engineering and development to manufacture, which guarantees OE level quality. Each brake shoe is engineered to deliver unsurpassed performance and reliability, along with an extended service life and quiet operation.

Testing

TRW brake shoes are stringently tested to our OE standards. Where applicable all brake shoes are ECE R90 compliant, asbestos free and are marked with the TRW part number, traceability code and R90 number.
